Aims and Objectives
-
This is a practical program focusing on patent strategy. The first day offers theoretical insights illustrated with actual examples from the industry. A practical methodology is presented to help you outline an Intellectual Property (IP) plan step-by-step. You will apply this methodology to a given case study, through teamwork and group discussion. This method includes recourse to:
- IP mapping techniques where patent data are used for strategic guidance and
- New benchmarking techniques to better position and project the performance of a company's patent portfolio.
The second day explores how to test the plan outlined during the first day. It gives you the opportunity to get hands-on experience during a business simulation session using a proprietary tool. Implementation and best practices are discussed thereafter.
After the course, you will be able to directly reproduce and apply the methodology to your daily practice.
