is a European and German Patent Attorney and works as Senior IP Counsel with Siemens AG where she began her IP career after having graduated with a diploma in physics. Michaela counsels various Siemens businesses in all matters of IP for artificial intelligence products and applications, Siemens being one of the top patent applicants among the European companies in the field of AI. She is also a Member of the Committee for Patent and Utility Model Law of the German Patent Attorney Association.

With his studies of computer science, Patrick has reliable expertise in the patentability of inventions in the field of computer technology. He has excellent knowledge in the areas of computer architecture,operating systems, databases, embedded systems, multimedia technology, virtualization, and network technology. His main areas of practice include patent prosecution, opposition and appeal proceedings as well as infringement and nullity complaints.

is chairman of the EPO's Technical Board of Appeal 3.5.06, which deals with computer technology and artificial intelligence, and a member of the Enlarged Board of Appeal. He joined the EPO as an examiner in 1998, was appointed a member of the Boards of Appeal in 2010, and chairman of board 3.5.06 in 2019. Martin studied computer science at the University of Karlsruhe (now KIT) and received a respective PhD from Saarland University. He is a regular speaker and author on patent law issues.
